What is AWS Certificate Manager?
AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) handles the complexity of provisioning, deploying, and managing SSL/TLS certificates for your AWS-based websites and applications. You can use certificates provided by ACM (ACM Certificates) or certificates that you import into ACM. You use ACM to request, import, and manage the certificate and then use other AWS services to associate the certificate with your website or application. As shown in the following illustration, you can use certificates stored in ACM with Elastic Load Balancing and Amazon CloudFront. You cannot use Amazon-issued certificates outside of AWS.
