Amazon DynamoDB

Setting Up CloudWatch Alarms

You can use the DynamoDB console to create and manage CloudWatch alarms for your table. CloudWatch alarms can notify you of events that may require your attention, such as a table exceeding its provisioned throughput settings for a sustained period of time.

To work with CloudWatch alarms for your table, choose the Alarms tab.

On this page, you can modify any existing CloudWatch alarm for your table, or choose Create alarm to create a new CloudWatch alarm.

The Create Alarm window lets you create a CloudWatch alarm, which will be triggered when a specific CloudWatch metric reaches a threshold value for a particular length of time.

For more information about setting up alarms, see the CloudWatch Help in the CloudWatch console, or go to the CloudWatch Documentation.
