Managing DynamoDB Streams and Triggers

Note

For more information about DynamoDB Streams and AWS Lambda triggers, see Capturing Table Activity with DynamoDB Streams.

You can use the AWS Management Console to enable or disable DynamoDB Streams on a table. To do this, go to the Overview tab and then choose Manage Stream.

The Manage Stream window lets you enable a stream for this table. It also lets you choose the level of detail about data modifications that will appear in the stream.

If the table already has a stream enabled, the Manage Stream window lets you disable it.

The Triggers tab lets you associate an AWS Lambda function with your table's stream (if enabled). Use this tab to select an existing Lambda function (or create a new function) that will be invoked whenever events of interest appear in the table's stream.
