DeleteEntity

Deletes an entity.

Request Syntax

DELETE /workspaces/workspaceId/entities/entityId?isRecursive=isRecursive HTTP/1.1

URI Request Parameters

The request uses the following URI parameters.

entityId

The ID of the entity to delete.

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.

Pattern: [0-9a-f]{8}-[0-9a-f]{4}-[0-9a-f]{4}-[0-9a-f]{4}-[0-9a-f]{12}|^[a-zA-Z0-9][a-zA-Z_\-0-9.:]*[a-zA-Z0-9]+

Required: Yes

isRecursive

A Boolean value that specifies whether the operation deletes child entities.

workspaceId

The ID of the workspace that contains the entity to delete.

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.

Pattern: [a-zA-Z_0-9][a-zA-Z_\-0-9]*[a-zA-Z0-9]+

Required: Yes

Request Body

The request does not have a request body.

Response Syntax

Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response.

The following data is returned in JSON format by the service.

state

The current state of the deleted entity.

Type: String

Valid Values: CREATING | UPDATING | DELETING | ACTIVE | ERROR

The resource wasn't found.
