TagResource

Tags a specified resource.

Request Syntax

POST /tags/resourceArn HTTP/1.1 Content-type: application/json { "Tags": [ { "Key": "string", "Value": "string" } ] }

URI Request Parameters

The request uses the following URI parameters.

resourceArn

The Amazon Resource Name (ARN) of the resource.

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 0. Maximum length of 1500.

Pattern: [\s\S]*

Required: Yes

Request Body

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

Tags

The tags to apply to the specified resource.

Type: Array of Tag objects

Required: Yes

Response Syntax

HTTP/1.1 200

Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.

AccessDeniedException

You do not have sufficient access to perform this action.

HTTP Status Code: 403

ConflictException

There was a conflict processing the request. Updating or deleting the resource can cause an inconsistent state.

The request has failed due to an internal error.

HTTP Status Code: 500

ResourceNotFoundException

The specified resource could not be found.

HTTP Status Code: 404

ServiceQuotaExceededException

A service limit was exceeded.

HTTP Status Code: 402

ThrottlingException

The request was denied due to request throttling.

HTTP Status Code: 429

ValidationException

The input fails to satisfy the constraints.

HTTP Status Code: 400
