RegisterMailDomain - Amazon WorkMail

RegisterMailDomain

Registers a new domain in WorkMail and SES, and configures it for use by WorkMail. Emails received by SES for this domain are routed to the specified WorkMail organization, and WorkMail has permanent permission to use the specified domain for sending your users' emails.

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

ClientToken

Idempotency token used when retrying requests.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.

Pattern: [\x21-\x7e]+

Required: No

DomainName

The name of the mail domain to create in WorkMail and SES.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 3. Maximum length of 209.

Pattern: [a-zA-Z0-9.-]+

Required: Yes

OrganizationId

The WorkMail organization under which you're creating the domain.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Fixed length of 34.

Pattern: ^m-[0-9a-f]{32}$

Required: Yes

Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.

InvalidParameterException

One or more of the input parameters don't match the service's restrictions.

HTTP Status Code: 400

LimitExceededException

The request exceeds the limit of the resource.

HTTP Status Code: 400

MailDomainInUseException

The domain you're trying to change is in use by another user or organization in your account. See the error message for details.

HTTP Status Code: 400

OrganizationNotFoundException

An operation received a valid organization identifier that either doesn't belong or exist in the system.

HTTP Status Code: 400

OrganizationStateException

The organization must have a valid state to perform certain operations on the organization or its members.

HTTP Status Code: 400
