Synopsis

Calls the AWS Organizations DisableAWSServiceAccess API operation.

Description

Disables the integration of an AWS service (the service that is specified by ServicePrincipal) with AWS Organizations. When you disable integration, the specified service no longer can create a service-linked role in new accounts in your organization. This means the service can't perform operations on your behalf on any new accounts in your organization. The service can still perform operations in older accounts until the service completes its clean-up from AWS Organizations. We recommend that you disable integration between AWS Organizations and the specified AWS service by using the console or commands that are provided by the specified service. Doing so ensures that the other service is aware that it can clean up any resources that are required only for the integration. How the service cleans up its resources in the organization's accounts depends on that service. For more information, see the documentation for the other AWS service. After you perform the DisableAWSServiceAccess operation, the specified service can no longer perform operations in your organization's accounts unless the operations are explicitly permitted by the IAM policies that are attached to your roles. For more information about integrating other services with AWS Organizations, including the list of services that work with Organizations, see Integrating AWS Organizations with Other AWS Services in the AWS Organizations User Guide. This operation can be called only from the organization's master account.

The service principal name of the AWS service for which you want to disable integration with your organization. This is typically in the form of a URL, such as service-abbreviation.amazonaws.com.

The AWS access key for the user account. This can be a temporary access key if the corresponding session token is supplied to the -SessionToken parameter.

-ProfileLocation <String>

Used to specify the name and location of the ini-format credential file (shared with the AWS CLI and other AWS SDKs)

If this optional parameter is omitted this cmdlet will search the encrypted credential file used by the AWS SDK for .NET and AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio first. If the profile is not found then the cmdlet will search in the ini-format credential file at the default location: (user's home directory)\.aws\credentials. Note that the encrypted credential file is not supported on all platforms. It will be skipped when searching for profiles on Windows Nano Server, Mac, and Linux platforms.

If this parameter is specified then this cmdlet will only search the ini-format credential file at the location given.

As the current folder can vary in a shell or during script execution it is advised that you use specify a fully qualified path instead of a relative path.

-ProfileName <String>
The user-defined name of an AWS credentials or SAML-based role profile containing credential information. The profile is expected to be found in the secure credential file shared with the AWS SDK for .NET and AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio. You can also specify the name of a profile stored in the .ini-format credential file used with the AWS CLI and other AWS SDKs.

-NetworkCredential <PSCredential>
Used with SAML-based authentication when ProfileName references a SAML role profile. Contains the network credentials to be supplied during authentication with the configured identity provider's endpoint. This parameter is not required if the user's default network identity can or should be used during authentication.

The AWS secret key for the user account. This can be a temporary secret key if the corresponding session token is supplied to the -SessionToken parameter.

The endpoint to make the call against.

Note: This parameter is primarily for internal AWS use and is not required/should not be specified for normal usage. The cmdlets normally determine which endpoint to call based on the region specified to the -Region parameter or set as default in the shell (via Set-DefaultAWSRegion). Only specify this parameter if you must direct the call to a specific custom endpoint.

Inputs

You can pipe a String object to this cmdlet for the ServicePrincipal parameter.

Outputs

None or System.String
When you use the PassThru parameter, this cmdlet outputs the value supplied to the ServicePrincipal parameter. Otherwise, this cmdlet does not return any output. The service response (type Amazon.Organizations.Model.DisableAWSServiceAccessResponse) can be referenced from properties attached to the cmdlet entry in the $AWSHistory stack.
