Activates the switch for the specific directory to always use LDAP secure calls.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginEnableLDAPS and EndEnableLDAPS.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.DirectoryService.Model.EnableLDAPSRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the EnableLDAPS service method.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the EnableLDAPS service method, as returned by DirectoryService.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
ClientException A client exception has occurred.
DirectoryDoesNotExistException The specified directory does not exist in the system.
DirectoryUnavailableException The specified directory is unavailable.
InvalidLDAPSStatusException The LDAP activities could not be performed because they are limited by the LDAPS status.
InvalidParameterException One or more parameters are not valid.
NoAvailableCertificateException Client authentication setup could not be completed because at least one valid certificate must be registered in the system.
ServiceException An exception has occurred in Directory Service.
UnsupportedOperationException The operation is not supported.
