Creates a 2048-bit RSA key pair and issues an X.509 certificate using the issued public key.

Note This is the only time AWS IoT issues the private key for this certificate, so it is important to keep it in a secure location.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginCreateKeysAndCertificate and EndCreateKeysAndCertificate.

setAsActive
Type: System.Boolean

Specifies whether the certificate is active.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value
The response from the CreateKeysAndCertificate service method, as returned by IoT.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
InternalFailureException An unexpected error has occurred.
InvalidRequestException The request is not valid.
ServiceUnavailableException The service is temporarily unavailable.
ThrottlingException The rate exceeds the limit.
UnauthorizedException You are not authorized to perform this operation.
