Retrieves information about a time series (data stream).
To identify a time series, do one of the following:
If the time series isn't associated with an asset property, specify the alias
of the time series.
If the time series is associated with an asset property, specify one of the following:
The alias
of the time series.
The assetId
and propertyId
that identifies the asset property.
This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginDescribeTimeSeries and EndDescribeTimeSeries.

InvalidRequestException | The request isn't valid. This can occur if your request contains malformed JSON or unsupported characters. Check your request and try again. |

ThrottlingException | Your request exceeded a rate limit. For example, you might have exceeded the number of IoT SiteWise assets that can be created per second, the allowed number of messages per second, and so on. For more information, see Quotas in the IoT SiteWise User Guide. |
