Updates an Amazon Personalize solution to use a different automatic training configuration. When you update a solution, you can change whether the solution uses automatic training, and you can change the training frequency. For more information about updating a solution, see Updating a solution.

A solution update can be in one of the following states:

CREATE PENDING > CREATE IN_PROGRESS > ACTIVE -or- CREATE FAILED

To get the status of a solution update, call the DescribeSolution API operation and find the status in the latestSolutionUpdate.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginUpdateSolution and EndUpdateSolution.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.Personalize.Model.UpdateSolutionRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the UpdateSolution service method.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the UpdateSolution service method, as returned by Personalize.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
InvalidInputException Provide a valid value for the field or parameter.
LimitExceededException The limit on the number of requests per second has been exceeded.
ResourceInUseException The specified resource is in use.
ResourceNotFoundException Could not find the specified resource.
