Used to start an incident from CloudWatch alarms, EventBridge events, or manually.

Note:

This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginStartIncident and EndStartIncident.

Parameters

request
Type: Amazon.SSMIncidents.Model.StartIncidentRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the StartIncident service method.

cancellationToken
Type: System.Threading.CancellationToken

A cancellation token that can be used by other objects or threads to receive notice of cancellation.

Return Value


The response from the StartIncident service method, as returned by SSMIncidents.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
AccessDeniedException You don't have sufficient access to perform this operation.
ConflictException Updating or deleting a resource causes an inconsistent state.
InternalServerException The request processing has failed because of an unknown error, exception or failure.
ResourceNotFoundException Request references a resource which doesn't exist.
ThrottlingException The request was denied due to request throttling.
ValidationException The input fails to satisfy the constraints specified by an Amazon Web Services service.
