Creates an address for a Snowball to be shipped to. In most regions, addresses are validated at the time of creation. The address you provide must be located within the serviceable area of your region. If the address is invalid or unsupported, then an exception is thrown.

For PCL this operation is only available in asynchronous form. Please refer to CreateAddressAsync.

Parameters
request
Type: Amazon.Snowball.Model.CreateAddressRequest

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the CreateAddress service method.

Return Value
The response from the CreateAddress service method, as returned by Snowball.

Exceptions

ExceptionCondition
InvalidAddressException The address provided was invalid. Check the address with your region's carrier, and try again.
UnsupportedAddressException The address is either outside the serviceable area for your region, or an error occurred. Check the address with your region's carrier and try again. If the issue persists, contact AWS Support.

Examples

This operation creates an address for a job. Addresses are validated at the time of creation. The address you provide must be located within the serviceable area of your region. If the address is invalid or unsupported, then an exception is thrown.
