The following code examples show how to use DeleteGroupPolicy
.
Action examples are code excerpts from larger programs and must be run in context. You can see this action in

/// <summary>

/// </summary>
/// <param name="groupName">The name of the IAM group associated with the
/// policy.</param>
/// <param name="policyName">The name of the policy to delete.</param>
/// <returns>A Boolean value indicating the success of the action.</returns>
public async Task<bool> DeleteGroupPolicyAsync(string groupName, string policyName)
{
var request = new DeleteGroupPolicyRequest()
{
GroupName = groupName,
PolicyName = policyName,
};
var response = await _IAMService.DeleteGroupPolicyAsync(request);
return response.HttpStatusCode == System.Net.HttpStatusCode.OK;

To delete a policy from an IAM group
The following delete-group-policy
command deletes the policy named ExamplePolicy
from the group named Admins
.
aws iam delete-group-policy \
--group-name Admins
\
--policy-name ExamplePolicy
This command produces no output.
To see the policies attached to a group, use the list-group-policies
command.
For more information, see Managing IAM policies in the AWS IAM User Guide.

Example 1: This example removes the inline policy named TesterPolicy
from the IAM group Testers
. The users in that group immediately lose the permissions defined in that policy.
