# Change your preferred currency in AWS Settings

You can change your preferred currency in AWS Settings. Your preferred currency only applies to the projects that you own. Certain billing countries restrict payment currencies. Your card issuer might charge a fee for transitions in other currencies.

**To change your preferred display currency**

1. Open AWS Settings at [https://settings.aws.com](https://settings.aws.com).

1. In the main navigation pane, choose **Billing**.

1. Under **Balance**, you'll see your payment information. Choose **Manage**. If you don't see a balance, you cannot change the currency.

1. Choose **Set currency**.

1. For **Default payment currency**, select the payment currency.

1. Choose **Save**.
