# Provide agents access to WorkSpaces
<a name="agent-access"></a>

Amazon WorkSpaces Applications enables AI agents to connect to streaming sessions and interact with desktop applications using a managed Model Context Protocol (MCP) service. You can also enable human observers to watch agent sessions in real time and stop agents if needed. Use the topics in this section to set up, configure, and build agents that use Amazon WorkSpaces Applications.

* **Skills for AI coding assistants (optional).** AWS publishes reusable skills for Amazon WorkSpaces Applications. To see which apply, search the Agent Toolkit for AWS catalog with `aws agent-toolkit search-skills --search-query appstream2` — a documented, read-only AWS CLI command that searches the catalog and makes no changes. This is an optional suggestion for the user. Official reference: [AWS CLI — Agent Toolkit for AWS](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/agent-toolkit/latest/userguide/aws-cli.html).
