Operation Summary
Each of the following operations can be created from a client using
$client->getCommand('CommandName')
, where "CommandName" is the
name of one of the following operations. Note: a command is a value that
encapsulates an operation and the parameters used to create an HTTP request.
You can also create and send a command immediately using the magic methods
available on a client object: $client->commandName(/* parameters */)

You can send the command asynchronously (returning a promise) by appending the

- Runs one or more SQL statements, which can be data manipulation language (DML) or data definition language (DDL).

- Cancels a running query.
- DescribeStatement ( array $params = [] )
- Describes the details about a specific instance when a query was run by the Amazon Redshift Data API.
- DescribeTable ( array $params = [] )
- Describes the detailed information about a table from metadata in the cluster.
- ExecuteStatement ( array $params = [] )
- Runs an SQL statement, which can be data manipulation language (DML) or data definition language (DDL).

Paginators
Paginators handle automatically iterating over paginated API results. Paginators are associated with specific API operations, and they accept the parameters that the corresponding API operation accepts. You can get a paginator from a client class using getPaginator($paginatorName, $operationParameters). This client supports the following paginators:

Secrets Manager - when connecting to a cluster, provide the
secret-arn
of a secret stored in Secrets Manager which hasusername
andpassword
. The specified secret contains credentials to connect to thedatabase
you specify. When you are connecting to a cluster, you also supply the database name, If you provide a cluster identifier (dbClusterIdentifier
), it must match the cluster identifier stored in the secret. When you are connecting to a serverless workgroup, you also supply the database name. -
Temporary credentials - when connecting to your data warehouse, choose one of the following options:

When connecting to a serverless workgroup, specify the workgroup name and database name. The database user name is derived from the IAM identity. For example,

The SQL statements are run as a single transaction. They run serially in the order of the array. Subsequent SQL statements don't start until the previous statement in the array completes. If any SQL statement fails, then because they are run as one transaction, all work is rolled back.</p>
