Step 2: Creating your business profile

A business profile stores your organization's contact information and serves as the foundation for your B2B Data Interchange activities. You use this profile for trading partnerships and to configure logging for transformation monitoring.

Note

If you created a profile for inbound EDI processing, you can reuse it here. Profiles can be used across multiple trading capabilities and partnerships.

To create a business profile
  1. Open the B2B Data Interchange console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/b2bi/.

  2. In the navigation pane, choose Profiles.

  3. Choose Create profile.

  4. In Profile details, enter:

    • Profile name: AcmeCorpOutboundProfile

    • Business name: Acme Corporation

    • Email: edi-outbound@acmecorp.example.com

    • Phone: ***************

  5. For Logging, keep the default setting of enabled (recommended for monitoring).

  6. Optional: Add tags to help organize your resources:

    • Key: Environment, Value: Tutorial

    • Key: Department, Value: Procurement

    • Key: Direction, Value: Outbound

  7. Choose Create profile.
