BatchCreateAttendee - Amazon Chime

Creates up to 100 new attendees for an active Amazon Chime SDK meeting.


This API is no longer supported and will not be updated. We recommend using the latest version, BatchCreateAttendee, in the Amazon Chime SDK.

Using the latest version requires migrating to a dedicated namespace. For more information, refer to Migrating from the Amazon Chime namespace in the Amazon Chime SDK Developer Guide.

Request Syntax

URI Request Parameters

The request uses the following URI parameters.


The Amazon Chime SDK meeting ID.

Pattern: [a-fA-F0-9]{8}(?:-[a-fA-F0-9]{4}){3}-[a-fA-F0-9]{12}

Required: Yes

Request Body

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.


The request containing the attendees to create.

Type: Array of CreateAttendeeRequestItem objects

Required: Yes

Response Syntax

Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 201 response.

The following data is returned in JSON format by the service.


The attendee information, including attendees IDs and join tokens.

Type: Array of Attendee objects


If the action fails for one or more of the attendees in the request, a list of the attendees is returned, along with error codes and error messages.

Type: Array of CreateAttendeeError objects

The input parameters don't match the service's restrictions.

HTTP Status Code: 400


The client is permanently forbidden from making the request.

HTTP Status Code: 403


One or more of the resources in the request does not exist in the system.

The service encountered an unexpected error.

HTTP Status Code: 500


The service is currently unavailable.

The client exceeded its request rate limit.
