CreateAppInstanceAdmin - Amazon Chime

CreateAppInstanceAdmin

Promotes an AppInstanceUser to an AppInstanceAdmin. The promoted user can perform the following actions.

  • ChannelModerator actions across all channels in the AppInstance.

  • DeleteChannelMessage actions.

Only an AppInstanceUser can be promoted to an AppInstanceAdmin role.

The request uses the following URI parameters.

appInstanceArn

The ARN of the AppInstance.

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 5. Maximum length of 1600.

Pattern: arn:[a-z0-9-\.]{1,63}:[a-z0-9-\.]{0,63}:[a-z0-9-\.]{0,63}:[a-z0-9-\.]{0,63}:[^/].{0,1023}

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

AppInstanceAdminArn

The ARN of the administrator of the current AppInstance.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 5. Maximum length of 1600.

Pattern: arn:[a-z0-9-\.]{1,63}:[a-z0-9-\.]{0,63}:[a-z0-9-\.]{0,63}:[a-z0-9-\.]{0,63}:[^/].{0,1023}

Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 201 response.

AppInstanceAdmin

The name and ARN of the admin for the AppInstance.

AppInstanceArn

The ARN of the of the admin for the AppInstance.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 5. Maximum length of 1600.
