AdminSetUserSettings - Amazon Cognito User Pools

AdminSetUserSettings

This action is no longer supported. You can use it to configure only SMS MFA. You can't use it to configure time-based one-time password (TOTP) software token MFA. To configure either type of MFA, use AdminSetUserMFAPreference instead.

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

MFAOptions

You can use this parameter only to set an SMS configuration that uses SMS for delivery.

Type: Array of MFAOptionType objects

Required: Yes

Username

The user name of the user whose options you're setting.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.

Pattern: [\p{L}\p{M}\p{S}\p{N}\p{P}]+

Required: Yes

UserPoolId

The ID of the user pool that contains the user whose options you're setting.

Type: String

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 55.

Pattern: [\w-]+_[0-9a-zA-Z]+

Required: Yes

Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.

This exception is thrown when Amazon Cognito encounters an internal error.

InvalidParameterException

This exception is thrown when the Amazon Cognito service encounters an invalid parameter.

NotAuthorizedException

This exception is thrown when a user isn't authorized.

HTTP Status Code: 400

ResourceNotFoundException

This exception is thrown when the Amazon Cognito service can't find the requested resource.

HTTP Status Code: 400

UserNotFoundException

This exception is thrown when a user isn't found.

HTTP Status Code: 400
