--service-type
(string)
The Amazon Web Services service for which Performance Insights returns metrics.
Possible values:
RDS
DOCDB
--identifier
(string)
An immutable identifier for a data source that is unique within an Amazon Web Services Region. Performance Insights gathers metrics from this data source. To use an Amazon RDS DB instance as a data source, specify itsDbiResourceId
value. For example, specifydb-ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTU1VWZ
.
--metric-types
(list)
The types of metrics to return in the response. Valid values in the array include the following:
os
(OS counter metrics) - All enginesdb
(DB load metrics) - All engines except for Amazon DocumentDBdb.sql.stats
(per-SQL metrics) - All engines except for Amazon DocumentDBdb.sql_tokenized.stats
(per-SQL digest metrics) - All engines except for Amazon DocumentDB(string)
Syntax:
"string" "string" ...
--next-token
(string)
An optional pagination token provided by a previous request. If this parameter is specified, the response includes only records beyond the token, up to the value specified byMaxRecords
.
--max-results
(integer)
The maximum number of items to return. If theMaxRecords
value is less than the number of existing items, the response includes a pagination token.
--cli-input-json
(string)
Performs service operation based on the JSON string provided. The JSON string follows the format provided by --generate-cli-skeleton
. If other arguments are provided on the command line, the CLI values will override the JSON-provided values. It is not possible to pass arbitrary binary values using a JSON-provided value as the string will be taken literally.
--generate-cli-skeleton
(string)
Prints a JSON skeleton to standard output without sending an API request. If provided with no value or the value input
, prints a sample input JSON that can be used as an argument for --cli-input-json
. If provided with the value output
, it validates the command inputs and returns a sample output JSON for that command.
See 'aws help' for descriptions of global parameters.
Metrics -> (list)
An array of metrics available to query. Each array element contains the full name, description, and unit of the metric.

in a separate request with this value.
