Starts a new run of the specified blueprint.

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

The name of the blueprint.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.  
Pattern: `[\.\-_A-Za-z0-9]+`   
Required: Yes

Specifies the parameters as a `BlueprintParameters` object.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 131072.

 ** [RoleArn](#API_StartBlueprintRun_RequestSyntax) **   <a name="Glue-StartBlueprintRun-request-RoleArn"></a>
Specifies the IAM role used to create the workflow.  
Type: String  
Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 1024.  
Pattern: `arn:aws[^:]*:iam::[0-9]*:role/.+`   
Required: Yes

The blueprint is in an invalid state to perform a requested operation.

 ** InvalidInputException **   
The input provided was not valid.

Indicates whether or not the exception relates to a federated source.

The operation timed out.
