Supply chains are almost always responsible for most of the emissions produced by an organization, but this is true considering all the supply chains involved to plan, source, make, deliver and, eventually, return a product or component. Technology-related workloads are responsible of only a portion of the total emissions, but depending on how much your organization is digitized, the percentage can vary and emit a larger portion compared to overall emissions. The adoption of the cloud to run all or partially your operations eases the tracking and measuring carbon emissions with regards to your AWS-related workloads through the Customer Carbon Footprint tool.
