Release: Elastic Beanstalk Linux-based platform updates on November 16, 2018

This release applies security updates to Linux-based platforms for AWS Elastic Beanstalk, and updates platform configurations. The release also includes Java SE, Java with Tomcat, and Node.js updates, and, for certain AWS Regions, support for additional Amazon EC2 instance types.

Platform Update

Java SE

Updated the Java 8 configuration to OpenJDK Version 1.8.0_191-b12.

Java with Tomcat

Updated the Java 8 configurations to OpenJDK Version 1.8.0_191-b12.

Updated the Tomcat 7 configurations to Apache Tomcat Version 7.0.91.

Node.js

Updated the Node.js platform to support Node v10.13.0.

Node 10 is now the default Node.js version.

Instance types

Added support for more Amazon EC2 instance types in some AWS Regions, as follows:
