Release: Elastic Beanstalk Amazon Linux 2023 platform updates on September 10, 2026

This release provides new versions for AWS Elastic Beanstalk platforms based on Amazon Linux 2023. The release includes security updates. It also includes AMI, Docker, ECS based Docker, Go, Corretto, Tomcat, .NET Core, Node.js, PHP, and Python updates.

Be aware that at the time these release notes are published, the new platform versions might not yet be available in all the AWS Regions that Elastic Beanstalk supports. It might take a few hours for the release to complete.

Applied all security updates published in the Amazon Linux Security Center on or before August 31, 2026 to all AL2023 platforms.

Updated ECS Agent to version 1.106.1.

Updated Tomcat 9 to version 9.0.121.

.NET Core

  • Updated .NET 10 to version 10.0.12.

  • Updated .NET 9 to version 9.0.20.

  • Updated .NET 8 to version 8.0.31.

Node.js

Updated Node.js 24 to version 24.20.0 (npm 11.19.0).

PHP

  • Updated PHP 8.5 to version 8.5.10.

  • Updated PHP 8.4 to version 8.4.25.

  • Updated Composer to version 2.10.3 for all PHP platform branches.
