Creating a Profile by Uploading XML - AWS Elemental Conductor Live 3

This is version 3.18 of the AWS Elemental Conductor Live 3 documentation. This is the latest version. For prior versions, see the Previous Versions section of AWS Elemental Conductor Live 3 Documentation.

Creating a Profile by Uploading XML

You can create a profile using the XML from an existing profile that is up to two current versions back from the current AWS Elemental Conductor Live 3 version. When the profile is uploaded, the Conductor system migrates the profile to the current version while also maintaining field selections and values.

  1. If you haven’t already, download the existing profile and save it. Do one of the following:

    • Choose Download on the Profiles page, or

    • Choose Download XML on the Profile Detail page.

  2. On the Profiles screen, choose the New Profile button.

  3. On the New Profile page, choose the Upload XML button.

  4. Choose Choose File and navigate to where you saved the file of the existing profile’s XML.

  5. When you have selected the appropriate file, choose the Apply button.

The profile fields are populated based on the uploaded XML.

  6. Update fields as required and save the profile.

Note

If you are uploading XML from a pre-3.2 profile to a post-3.2 Conductor, you are required to enter validation values for any parameters used in the profile. See Creating a Profile with Channel Parameters for more information.
