Modifying a Channel - AWS Elemental Conductor Live 3

This is version 3.17 of the AWS Elemental Conductor Live 3 documentation. This is the latest version. For prior versions, see the Previous Versions section of AWS Elemental Conductor Live 3 Documentation.

Modifying a Channel

You can modify a channel that is in the Idle or Error state (i.e. when it is not actively running). You can make any of these changes to the channel:

  • Change the channel name.

  • Change the associated profile.

  • Change the associated node.

  • Assign values to any channel parameters.

Changing the Associated Profile

If you associate the channel with a different profile and that new profile has channel parameters (where the previous profile had none) or has different channel parameters from the previous profile, you cannot save until you have entered values in all the new channel parameters that are required ( which are associated with required fields).

Changing the Associated Node

When you initially created the channel, you may or may not have associated a node with the channel. Either way, you can now:

  • Remove any node that may be associated so that the channel is not associated with any node. You cannot run the channel until you associate a node again.

  • Associate a node where none was associated before. You can now run the channel.

  • Associate the channel with a different node. Make sure the new node is capable of running the channel, especially with regard to features controlled by the license on the worker node and the architecture of the software installed on the node (GPU-enabled or CPU-only).
