TagResource - Amazon FinSpace

After careful consideration, we decided to end support for Amazon FinSpace, effective October 7, 2026. Amazon FinSpace will no longer accept new customers beginning October 7, 2025. As an existing customer with an Amazon FinSpace environment created before October 7, 2025, you can continue to use the service as normal. TagResource

Adds metadata tags to a FinSpace resource.

Request Syntax

POST /tags/resourceArn HTTP/1.1 Content-type: application/json { "tags": { "string" : "string" } }

URI Request Parameters

The request uses the following URI parameters.

resourceArn

The Amazon Resource Name (ARN) for the resource.

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 20. Maximum length of 2048.

Pattern: ^arn:aws:finspace:[A-Za-z0-9_/.-]{0,63}:\d+:(environment|kxEnvironment)/[0-9A-Za-z_-]{1,128}(/(kxCluster|kxUser|kxVolume|kxScalingGroup)/[a-zA-Z0-9_-]{1,255}|/(kxDatabase/[a-zA-Z0-9_-]{1,255}(/kxDataview/[a-zA-Z0-9_-]{1,255})?))?$

Request Body

The request accepts the following data in JSON format.

tags

One or more tags to be assigned to the resource.

Type: String to string map

Map Entries: Maximum number of 50 items.

Key Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.

Key Pattern: ^(?!aws:)[a-zA-Z+-=._:/]+$

Value Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 256.

Value Pattern: ^[a-zA-Z0-9+-=._:@ ]+$

Required: Yes

Response Syntax

HTTP/1.1 200
