AWS DMS

AWS Database Migration Service is a web service you can use to migrate data from your database that is on-premises, on an Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) DB instance, or in a database on an Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instance to a database on an AWS service. These services can include a database on Amazon RDS or a database on an Amazon EC2 instance. You can also migrate a database from an AWS service to an on-premises database. You can migrate data between heterogeneous or homogenous database engines.

For more information about AWS Database Migration Service, see the AWS Database Migration Service documentation.

ITAR Boundary

AWS GovCloud (US) has an ITAR boundary, which defines where customers are allowed to store ITAR-controlled data for this service in the AWS GovCloud (US-West) Region. To maintain ITAR compliance, you must place ITAR-controlled data on the applicable part of the ITAR boundary. If you do not have any ITAR-controlled data in the AWS GovCloud (US-West) Region, this section does not apply to you. The following information identifies the ITAR boundary for this service:

ITAR-Regulated Data Permitted ITAR-Regulated Data Not Permitted

All data entered, stored, and processed in the source and destination database platforms in the AWS GovCloud (US-West) Region can contain ITAR-regulated data.
