Install the CodeDeploy agent
Important
Version 2.0.0 of the CodeDeploy agent is being rolled out across AWS Regions and might not be available in all Regions yet. It is an opt-in upgrade.
To use CodeDeploy on EC2 instances or on-premises servers, the CodeDeploy agent must be installed first. You can install the CodeDeploy agent with AWS Systems Manager or with the command line. For more information about Systems Manager, see What is AWS Systems Manager.
