CancelAuditMitigationActionsTask - AWS IoT


Cancels a mitigation action task that is in progress. If the task is not in progress, an InvalidRequestException occurs.

Requires permission to access the CancelAuditMitigationActionsTask action.

Request Syntax

PUT /audit/mitigationactions/tasks/taskId/cancel HTTP/1.1

URI Request Parameters

The request uses the following URI parameters.


The unique identifier for the task that you want to cancel.

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 128.

Pattern: [a-zA-Z0-9_-]+

Required: Yes

Request Body

The request does not have a request body.

Response Syntax

HTTP/1.1 200

Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.



An unexpected error has occurred.

HTTP Status Code: 500


The request is not valid.

HTTP Status Code: 400


The specified resource does not exist.

HTTP Status Code: 404


The rate exceeds the limit.

HTTP Status Code: 400
