Creating case studies in AWS Partner Central

You submit case studies in AWS Partner Central to document a working relationship with a customer. Each case study describes an individual customer solution and its outcomes. Case studies can be public or private. Public case studies can be anonymized and still appear in Partner Solution Finder.

What makes a case study effective

A case study is effective when it clearly states the customer, the challenge, the AWS services used, and the measurable outcome. Three audiences rely on this information: AWS sellers, customers, and program validators. Each audience uses case studies differently, but all require the same level of clarity and completeness.

How AWS sellers use case studies

AWS sellers use case studies to understand a partner's real-world capabilities and where they have delivered results. A case study that provides clear details helps sellers match the right partner to the right customer opportunity. These details include the customer problem, the AWS services involved, and the measurable outcome. Incomplete or vague case studies make it difficult for sellers to identify the right partner, which can result in missed co-sell introductions.

How customers use case studies

Case studies serve as customer-facing proof points. They surface on Partner Solution Finder, where customers browse partner capabilities. A strong case study translates technical work into a clear customer outcome: who the partner helped, what result they achieved, and what evidence supports that result. Customers use this information to evaluate whether a partner can address their specific business problem.

How AWS Partner programs use case studies

Case studies are a required input for program validations such as Specializations. AWS requires publicly available, high-quality case studies as customer evidence to validate a partner's expertise in a specific domain. Poorly constructed or non-compliant case studies can delay a specialization application. Well-documented case studies accelerate the validation process and help partners unlock badges and program benefits.
