Rotating a Terrain Heightmap

This topic references tools and features that are legacy. If you want to use legacy tools in Lumberyard Editor, disable the CryEntity Removal gem using the Project Configurator or the command line. To learn more about legacy features, see the Amazon Lumberyard Legacy Reference.

Rotating a terrain heightmap involves just a few simple steps.

To rotate the heightmap

  1. In the Rollup Bar, on the Terrain tab, click Move Area.

  2. Click Select Source.

  3. At the bottom of Lumberyard Editor, enter the X and Y coordinates for the heightmap center, then click Lock Selection.

  4. Click Select Target and repeat Step 3.

  5. In Target Rotation, select a value in degrees.
