Thumbnail monitoring
MediaConnect can generate JPEG-format thumbnails for a video from sources in your flows. You can view the thumbnails for a flow on the MediaConnect console. You can also use the AWS CLI or the MediaConnect API to work with thumbnails programmatically.
A thumbnail is a visual representation of your live content. Rather than relying solely on metadata or metrics, you can view thumbnails to verify that your sources are operating as expected.
