DeleteObject

Deletes an object at the specified path.

Request Syntax

DELETE /Path+ HTTP/1.1

URI Request Parameters

The request uses the following URI parameters.

Path

The path (including the file name) where the object is stored in the container. Format: <folder name>/<folder name>/<file name>

Length Constraints: Minimum length of 1. Maximum length of 900.

Pattern: (?:[A-Za-z0-9_=:\.\-\~]+/){0,10}[A-Za-z0-9_=:\.\-\~]+

Required: Yes

Request Body

The request does not have a request body.

Response Syntax

HTTP/1.1 200

Response Elements

If the action is successful, the service sends back an HTTP 200 response with an empty HTTP body.

ContainerNotFoundException

The specified container was not found for the specified account.

HTTP Status Code: 404

InternalServerError

The service is temporarily unavailable.

HTTP Status Code: 500

ObjectNotFoundException
