Getting Started


After April 30, 2018, Amazon Mobile Analytics features will be provided only by Amazon Pinpoint. If you're new to Mobile Analytics, use Amazon Pinpoint instead. If you're currently using Mobile Analytics, see Migrating from Amazon Mobile Analytics to Amazon Pinpoint.

Before you can visualize the data in the console at, sign up for an AWS account, create a Cognito identity pool or an AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) account, and then download the AWS Mobile SDK so that you can integrate it into your app.

Step 1: Sign Up for an AWS Account

If you already have an AWS account, sign in to your account and go to the next step.

If you do not have an AWS account, use the following procedure to create one.

To sign up for AWS

  1. Open, and then choose Create an AWS Account.


    If you previously signed in to the AWS Management Console using AWS account root user credentials, choose Sign in to a different account. If you previously signed in to the console using IAM credentials, choose Sign-in using root account credentials. Then choose Create a new AWS account.

  2. Follow the online instructions.

    Part of the sign-up procedure involves receiving a phone call and entering a verification code using the phone keypad.

Step 2: Follow the Steps to Add an App

  1. Open the Amazon Mobile Analytics console at

  2. If this is the first time you are using Amazon Mobile Analytics, follow the on-screen instructions to add an app.

    If you have already added an app, select the settings icon .

  3. In Manage Apps, choose Add App.

  4. Follow the instructions.

Step 3: Integrate Mobile Analytics in to Your App

To integrate Mobile Analytics, use the SDK for platforms appropriate to your app:

Step 4: Review the Data in Amazon Mobile Analytics Reports

You can see your data in the console at for events reported on iOS and Android platforms. It can take up to an hour for data sent to Mobile Analytics to appear in the console reports.
