Synopsis

Calls the AWS Elastic Beanstalk DescribeApplicationVersions API operation.

Description

Retrieve a list of application versions. This action only returns information about resources that the calling principle has IAM permissions to access. For example, consider a case where a user only has permission to access one of three resources. When the user calls the this action, the response will only include the one resource that the user has permission to access instead of all three resources. If the user doesn’t have access to any of the resources an empty result is returned. The AWSElasticBeanstalkReadOnly managed policy allows operators to view information about resources related to Elastic Beanstalk. For more information, see Managing Elastic Beanstalk user policies in the Elastic Beanstalk Developer Guide. For detailed instructions to attach a policy to a user or group, see the section Controlling access with managed policies in the same topic.

This cmdlet automatically pages all available results to the pipeline - parameters related to iteration are only needed if you want to manually control the paginated output. To disable autopagination, use -NoAutoIteration.

Note: For scripts written against earlier versions of this module this cmdlet can also be invoked with the alias, Get-EBApplicationVersions.

-MaxRecord <Int32>
For a paginated request. Specify a maximum number of application versions to include in each response.If no MaxRecords is specified, all available application versions are retrieved in a single response.
Note: In AWSPowerShell and AWSPowerShell.NetCore this parameter is used to limit the total number of items returned by the cmdlet.
In AWS.Tools this parameter is simply passed to the service to specify how many items should be returned by each service call.
Pipe the output of this cmdlet into Select-Object -First to terminate retrieving data pages early and control the number of items returned.If a value for this parameter is not specified the cmdlet will use a default value of '1000'.

For a paginated request. Specify a token from a previous response page to retrieve the next response page. All other parameter values must be identical to the ones specified in the initial request.If no NextToken is specified, the first page is retrieved.
Note: This parameter is only used if you are manually controlling output pagination of the service API call.
'NextToken' is only returned by the cmdlet when '-Select *' is specified. In order to manually control output pagination, set '-NextToken' to null for the first call then set the 'NextToken' using the same property output from the previous call for subsequent calls.

By default the cmdlet will auto-iterate and retrieve all results to the pipeline by performing multiple service calls. If set, the cmdlet will retrieve only the next 'page' of results using the value of NextToken as the start point.

Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The default value is 'ApplicationVersions'. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.ElasticBeanstalk.Model.DescribeApplicationVersionsResponse). Specifying the name of a property of type Amazon.ElasticBeanstalk.Model.DescribeApplicationVersionsResponse will result in that property being returned. Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.

-VersionLabel <String[]>
Specify a version label to show a specific application version. Starting with version 4 of the SDK this property will default to null. If no data for this property is returned from the service the property will also be null. This was changed to improve performance and allow the SDK and caller to distinguish between a property not set or a property being empty to clear out a value. To retain the previous SDK behavior set the AWSConfigs.InitializeCollections static property to true.

This cmdlet returns a collection of Amazon.ElasticBeanstalk.Model.ApplicationVersionDescription objects. The service call response (type Amazon.ElasticBeanstalk.Model.DescribeApplicationVersionsResponse) can be returned by specifying '-Select *'.
