Synopsis

Calls the AWS Resource Groups GetGroup API operation.

Description

Returns information about a specified resource group. Minimum permissions To run this command, you must have the following permissions:
  • resource-groups:GetGroup

Changes the cmdlet behavior to return the value passed to the GroupName parameter. The -PassThru parameter is deprecated, use -Select '^GroupName' instead. This parameter will be removed in a future version.

Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The default value is 'Group'. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.ResourceGroups.Model.GetGroupResponse). Specifying the name of a property of type Amazon.ResourceGroups.Model.GetGroupResponse will result in that property being returned. Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.

Only specify this parameter if you must direct the call to a specific custom endpoint.

Amazon.ResourceGroups.Model.Group or Amazon.ResourceGroups.Model.GetGroupResponse
This cmdlet returns an Amazon.ResourceGroups.Model.Group object. The service call response (type Amazon.ResourceGroups.Model.GetGroupResponse) can be returned by specifying '-Select *'.
