Synopsis

Calls the AWS Simple Workflow Service (SWF) ListWorkflowTypes API operation.

Description

Returns information about workflow types in the specified domain. The results may be split into multiple pages that can be retrieved by making the call repeatedly. Access Control You can use IAM policies to control this action's access to Amazon SWF resources as follows:
  • Use a Resource element with the domain name to limit the action to only specified domains.
  • Use an Action element to allow or deny permission to call this action.
  • You cannot use an IAM policy to constrain this action's parameters.
If the caller doesn't have sufficient permissions to invoke the action, or the parameter values fall outside the specified constraints, the action fails. The associated event attribute's cause parameter is set to OPERATION_NOT_PERMITTED. This cmdlet automatically pages all available results to the pipeline - parameters related to iteration are only needed if you want to manually control the paginated output. To disable autopagination, use -NoAutoIteration.

The maximum number of results that are returned per call. Use nextPageToken to obtain further pages of results.
Note: In AWSPowerShell and AWSPowerShell.NetCore this parameter is used to limit the total number of items returned by the cmdlet.
In AWS.Tools this parameter is simply passed to the service to specify how many items should be returned by each service call.
Pipe the output of this cmdlet into Select-Object -First to terminate retrieving data pages early and control the number of items returned.

-NextPageToken <String>
If NextPageToken is returned there are more results available. The value of NextPageToken is a unique pagination token for each page. Make the call again using the returned token to retrieve the next page. Keep all other arguments unchanged. Each pagination token expires after 24 hours. Using an expired pagination token will return a 400 error: "Specified token has exceeded its maximum lifetime".The configured maximumPageSize determines how many results can be returned in a single call.
Note: This parameter is only used if you are manually controlling output pagination of the service API call.
'NextPageToken' is only returned by the cmdlet when '-Select *' is specified. In order to manually control output pagination, set '-NextPageToken' to null for the first call then set the 'NextPageToken' using the same property output from the previous call for subsequent calls.

By default the cmdlet will auto-iterate and retrieve all results to the pipeline by performing multiple service calls. If set, the cmdlet will retrieve only the next 'page' of results using the value of NextPageToken as the start point.

When set to true, returns the results in reverse order. By default the results are returned in ascending alphabetical order of the name of the workflow types.

Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The default value is 'WorkflowTypeInfos.TypeInfos'. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.SimpleWorkflow.Model.ListWorkflowTypesResponse). Specifying the name of a property of type Amazon.SimpleWorkflow.Model.ListWorkflowTypesResponse will result in that property being returned. Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.

This cmdlet returns a collection of Amazon.SimpleWorkflow.Model.WorkflowTypeInfo objects. The service call response (type Amazon.SimpleWorkflow.Model.ListWorkflowTypesResponse) can be returned by specifying '-Select *'.
