Synopsis

Calls the Amazon Elastic File System CreateTags API operation.

Description

DEPRECATED - CreateTags is deprecated and not maintained. To create tags for EFS resources, use the API action. Creates or overwrites tags associated with a file system. Each tag is a key-value pair. If a tag key specified in the request already exists on the file system, this operation overwrites its value with the value provided in the request. If you add the Name tag to your file system, Amazon EFS returns it in the response to the DescribeFileSystems operation. This operation requires permission for the elasticfilesystem:CreateTags action.

This operation is deprecated.

-Select <String>
Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The cmdlet doesn't have a return value by default. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.ElasticFileSystem.Model.CreateTagsResponse). Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.

-Tag <Tag[]>
An array of Tag objects to add. Each Tag object is a key-value pair. Starting with version 4 of the SDK this property will default to null. If no data for this property is returned from the service the property will also be null. This was changed to improve performance and allow the SDK and caller to distinguish between a property not set or a property being empty to clear out a value. To retain the previous SDK behavior set the AWSConfigs.InitializeCollections static property to true.

This cmdlet does not generate any output.The service response (type Amazon.ElasticFileSystem.Model.CreateTagsResponse) be returned by specifying '-Select *'.

Example 1

Applies the collection of tags to the specified file system. If a tag with key specified already exists on the file system the value of the tag is updated.

Example 2

New-EFSTag -FileSystemId fs-1a2b3c4d -Tag @{Key="Name";Value="My File System"}
Sets the name tag for the specified file system. This value is returned along with other file system details when the Get-EFSFileSystem cmdlet is used.
