Synopsis

Calls the Amazon GuardDuty CreateMembers API operation.

Description

Creates member accounts of the current Amazon Web Services account by specifying a list of Amazon Web Services account IDs. This step is a prerequisite for managing the associated member accounts either by invitation or through an organization. When using Create Members as an organizations delegated administrator this action will enable GuardDuty in the added member accounts, with the exception of the organization delegated administrator account, which must enable GuardDuty prior to being added as a member. If you are adding accounts by invitation, use this action after GuardDuty has bee enabled in potential member accounts and before using InviteMembers.

Changes the cmdlet behavior to return the value passed to the AccountDetail parameter. The -PassThru parameter is deprecated, use -Select '^AccountDetail' instead. This parameter will be removed in a future version.

Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The default value is 'UnprocessedAccounts'. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.GuardDuty.Model.CreateMembersResponse). Specifying the name of a property of type Amazon.GuardDuty.Model.CreateMembersResponse will result in that property being returned. Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.

This cmdlet returns a collection of Amazon.GuardDuty.Model.UnprocessedAccount objects. The service call response (type Amazon.GuardDuty.Model.CreateMembersResponse) can also be referenced from properties attached to the cmdlet entry in the $AWSHistory stack.
