Synopsis

Calls the Amazon FSx DeleteBackup API operation.

Description

Deletes an Amazon FSx backup. After deletion, the backup no longer exists, and its data is gone. The DeleteBackup call returns instantly. The backup won't show up in later DescribeBackups calls. The data in a deleted backup is also deleted and can't be recovered by any means.

This parameter overrides confirmation prompts to force the cmdlet to continue its operation. This parameter should always be used with caution.

-PassThru <SwitchParameter>
Changes the cmdlet behavior to return the value passed to the BackupId parameter. The -PassThru parameter is deprecated, use -Select '^BackupId' instead. This parameter will be removed in a future version.

-Select <String>
Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The default value is '*'. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.FSx.Model.DeleteBackupResponse). Specifying the name of a property of type Amazon.FSx.Model.DeleteBackupResponse will result in that property being returned. Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.

This cmdlet returns an Amazon.FSx.Model.DeleteBackupResponse object containing multiple properties. The object can also be referenced from properties attached to the cmdlet entry in the $AWSHistory stack.
