Synopsis

Calls the AWS Resource Groups SearchResources API operation.

Description

Returns a list of Amazon Web Services resource identifiers that matches the specified query. The query uses the same format as a resource query in a CreateGroup or UpdateGroupQuery operation. Minimum permissions To run this command, you must have the following permissions:
  • resource-groups:SearchResources
  • cloudformation:DescribeStacks
  • cloudformation:ListStackResources
  • tag:GetResources


In the AWS.Tools.ResourceGroups module, this cmdlet automatically pages all available results to the pipeline - parameters related to iteration are only needed if you want to manually control the paginated output. To disable autopagination, use -NoAutoIteration.

-MaxResult <Int32>
The total number of results that you want included on each page of the response. If you do not include this parameter, it defaults to a value that is specific to the operation. If additional items exist beyond the maximum you specify, the NextToken response element is present and has a value (is not null). Include that value as the NextToken request parameter in the next call to the operation to get the next part of the results. Note that the service might return fewer results than the maximum even when there are more results available. You should check NextToken after every operation to ensure that you receive all of the results.

-NextToken <String>
The parameter for receiving additional results if you receive a NextToken response in a previous request. A NextToken response indicates that more output is available. Set this parameter to the value provided by a previous call's NextToken response to indicate where the output should continue from.
Note: In the AWS.Tools.ResourceGroups module, this parameter is only used if you are manually controlling output pagination of the service API call.
'NextToken' is only returned by the cmdlet when '-Select *' is specified. In order to manually control output pagination, set '-NextToken' to null for the first call then set the 'NextToken' using the same property output from the previous call for subsequent calls.

-PassThru <SwitchParameter>
Changes the cmdlet behavior to return the value passed to the ResourceQuery parameter. The -PassThru parameter is deprecated, use -Select '^ResourceQuery' instead. This parameter will be removed in a future version.

-Select <String>
Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The default value is '*'. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.ResourceGroups.Model.SearchResourcesResponse). Specifying the name of a property of type Amazon.ResourceGroups.Model.SearchResourcesResponse will result in that property being returned. Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.

Only specify this parameter if you must direct the call to a specific custom endpoint.

Used with SAML-based authentication when ProfileName references a SAML role profile. Contains the network credentials to be supplied during authentication with the configured identity provider's endpoint. This parameter is not required if the user's default network identity can or should be used during authentication.

Used to specify the name and location of the ini-format credential file (shared with the AWS CLI and other AWS SDKs)If this optional parameter is omitted this cmdlet will search the encrypted credential file used by the AWS SDK for .NET and AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio first. If the profile is not found then the cmdlet will search in the ini-format credential file at the default location: (user's home directory)\.aws\credentials.If this parameter is specified then this cmdlet will only search the ini-format credential file at the location given.As the current folder can vary in a shell or during script execution it is advised that you use specify a fully qualified path instead of a relative path.
