Description

This action forecasts future geofence events that are likely to occur within a specified time horizon if a device continues moving at its current speed. Each forecasted event is associated with a geofence from a provided geofence collection. A forecast event can have one of the following states: ENTER: The device position is outside the referenced geofence, but the device may cross into the geofence during the forecasting time horizon if it maintains its current speed. EXIT: The device position is inside the referenced geofence, but the device may leave the geofence during the forecasted time horizon if the device maintains it's current speed. IDLE:The device is inside the geofence, and it will remain inside the geofence through the end of the time horizon if the device maintains it's current speed. Heading direction is not considered in the current version. The API takes a conservative approach and includes events that can occur for any heading.

This cmdlet automatically pages all available results to the pipeline - parameters related to iteration are only needed if you want to manually control the paginated output. To disable autopagination, use -NoAutoIteration. This cmdlet didn't autopaginate in V4, auto-pagination support was added in V5.

Parameters

Amazon.PowerShell.Cmdlets.LOC.AmazonLocationServiceClientCmdlet.ClientConfig
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-CollectionName <String>
The name of the geofence collection.
Required?True
Position?1
Accept pipeline input?True (ByValue, ByPropertyName)
-DeviceState_Position <Double[]>
The device's position. Starting with version 4 of the SDK this property will default to null. If no data for this property is returned from the service the property will also be null. This was changed to improve performance and allow the SDK and caller to distinguish between a property not set or a property being empty to clear out a value. To retain the previous SDK behavior set the AWSConfigs.InitializeCollections static property to true.
Required?True
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-DeviceState_Speed <Double>
The device's speed.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-DistanceUnit <DistanceUnit>
The distance unit used for the NearestDistance property returned in a forecasted event. The measurement system must match for DistanceUnit and SpeedUnit; if Kilometers is specified for DistanceUnit, then SpeedUnit must be KilometersPerHour. Default Value: Kilometers
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
This parameter overrides confirmation prompts to force the cmdlet to continue its operation. This parameter should always be used with caution.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-MaxResult <Int32>
An optional limit for the number of resources returned in a single call.Default value: 20
Note: In AWSPowerShell and AWSPowerShell.NetCore this parameter is used to limit the total number of items returned by the cmdlet.
In AWS.Tools this parameter is simply passed to the service to specify how many items should be returned by each service call.
Pipe the output of this cmdlet into Select-Object -First to terminate retrieving data pages early and control the number of items returned.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
AliasesMaxItems, MaxResults
-NextToken <String>
The pagination token specifying which page of results to return in the response. If no token is provided, the default page is the first page.Default value: null
Note: This parameter is only used if you are manually controlling output pagination of the service API call.
'NextToken' is only returned by the cmdlet when '-Select *' is specified. In order to manually control output pagination, set '-NextToken' to null for the first call then set the 'NextToken' using the same property output from the previous call for subsequent calls.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-NoAutoIteration <SwitchParameter>
By default the cmdlet will auto-iterate and retrieve all results to the pipeline by performing multiple service calls. If set, the cmdlet will retrieve only the next 'page' of results using the value of NextToken as the start point. This cmdlet didn't autopaginate in V4. To preserve the V4 autopagination behavior for all cmdlets, run Set-AWSAutoIterationMode -IterationMode v4.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-Select <String>
Use the -Select parameter to control the cmdlet output. The default value is '*'. Specifying -Select '*' will result in the cmdlet returning the whole service response (Amazon.LocationService.Model.ForecastGeofenceEventsResponse). Specifying the name of a property of type Amazon.LocationService.Model.ForecastGeofenceEventsResponse will result in that property being returned. Specifying -Select '^ParameterName' will result in the cmdlet returning the selected cmdlet parameter value.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-SpeedUnit <SpeedUnit>
The speed unit for the device captured by the device state. The measurement system must match for DistanceUnit and SpeedUnit; if Kilometers is specified for DistanceUnit, then SpeedUnit must be KilometersPerHour.Default Value: KilometersPerHour.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-TimeHorizonMinute <Double>
The forward-looking time window for forecasting, specified in minutes. The API only returns events that are predicted to occur within this time horizon. When no value is specified, this API performs a containment check. The containment check operation returns IDLE events for geofences where the device is currently inside of, but no other events.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
AliasesTimeHorizonMinutes

Common Credential and Region Parameters

-AccessKey <String>
The AWS access key for the user account. This can be a temporary access key if the corresponding session token is supplied to the -SessionToken parameter.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
AliasesAK
-Credential <AWSCredentials>
An AWSCredentials object instance containing access and secret key information, and optionally a token for session-based credentials.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByValue, ByPropertyName)
-EndpointUrl <String>
The endpoint to make the call against.Note: This parameter is primarily for internal AWS use and is not required/should not be specified for normal usage. The cmdlets normally determine which endpoint to call based on the region specified to the -Region parameter or set as default in the shell (via Set-DefaultAWSRegion). Only specify this parameter if you must direct the call to a specific custom endpoint.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
-NetworkCredential <PSCredential>
Used with SAML-based authentication when ProfileName references a SAML role profile. Contains the network credentials to be supplied during authentication with the configured identity provider's endpoint. This parameter is not required if the user's default network identity can or should be used during authentication.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByValue, ByPropertyName)
-ProfileLocation <String>
Used to specify the name and location of the ini-format credential file (shared with the AWS CLI and other AWS SDKs)If this optional parameter is omitted this cmdlet will search the encrypted credential file used by the AWS SDK for .NET and AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio first. If the profile is not found then the cmdlet will search in the ini-format credential file at the default location: (user's home directory)\.aws\credentials.If this parameter is specified then this cmdlet will only search the ini-format credential file at the location given. As the current folder can vary in a shell or during script execution it is advised that you use specify a fully qualified path instead of a relative path.
Required?False
Position?Named
Accept pipeline input?True (ByPropertyName)
AliasesAWSProfilesLocation, ProfilesLocation
-ProfileName <String>
The user-defined name of an AWS credentials or SAML-based role profile containing credential information.
