MongoDB Atlas reference architectures on AWS
MongoDB Atlas systems are single-tenant, dedicated Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) virtual servers that
are created solely for an Atlas user. These virtual servers are isolated within their own
virtual private cloud (VPC) and do not share logical data storage or processing with other
users. AWS data centers are compliant with a number of security standards. For more information,
see AWS Compliance
The following sections describe three reference architectures for MongoDB Atlas on AWS: serverless, serverless with trigger events, and integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) / machine learning (ML).
