What to do when QuickSight Q can't provide an answer - Amazon QuickSight

Sometimes Q can't provide an answer, even if you try to make corrections. When this happens, you can manually link the question to a visual from an existing dashboard. This is called creating a linked answer.

Use the following procedure to create a linked answer.

To create a linked answer
  1. In the answer in the Q bar, choose Link to visual.

Image of the link to visual option in an answer.
  2. On the page that opens, go to the visual that you want to link the answer to and then choose Link Visual.

The linked visual appears as the answer to the question. From here, you can edit the link to the visual or add question variants.

Question variants are questions that return the same reviewed answer. To add a question variant to a linked visual, choose Edit question variants, choose Add new variant, enter a question, and then choose Save variant.
