Overview

This module provides a client for making API requests to AWS Lambda.

Aws::Lambda::Client

The Client class provides one-to-one mapping for each API operation.

lambda = Aws::Lambda::Client.new(region: 'us-east-1')
lambda.operation_names
#=> [:add_layer_version_permission, :add_permission, :create_alias, :create_event_source_mapping, ...]

Each API operation method accepts a hash of request parameters and returns a response object.

resp = lambda.add_layer_version_permission(params)

Aws::Lambda::Errors

Errors returned from AWS Lambda are defined in the Errors module and extend Errors::ServiceError.

  # do stuff
rescue Aws::Lambda::Errors::ServiceError
  # rescues all errors returned by AWS Lambda
end
