Merges two branches using the fast-forward merge strategy.
This is an asynchronous operation using the standard naming convention for .NET 4.5 or higher. For .NET 3.5 the operation is implemented as a pair of methods using the standard naming convention of BeginMergeBranchesByFastForward and EndMergeBranchesByFastForward.

| ConcurrentReferenceUpdateException | The merge cannot be completed because the target branch has been modified. Another user might have modified the target branch while the merge was in progress. Wait a few minutes, and then try again. |
