Installs an application to the device in a remote access session. For Android applications, the file must be in .apk format. For iOS applications, the file must be in .ipa format.


For .NET Core and PCL this operation is only available in asynchronous form. Please refer to InstallToRemoteAccessSessionAsync.

Container for the necessary parameters to execute the InstallToRemoteAccessSession service method.

Return Value
The response from the InstallToRemoteAccessSession service method, as returned by DeviceFarm.


ArgumentException An invalid argument was specified.
LimitExceededException A limit was exceeded.
NotFoundException The specified entity was not found.
ServiceAccountException There was a problem with the service account.


The following example installs a specific app to a device in a specific remote access session.

To install to a remote access session

var response = client.InstallToRemoteAccessSession(new InstallToRemoteAccessSessionRequest 
    AppArn = "arn:aws:devicefarm:us-west-2:123456789101:app:EXAMPLE-GUID-123-456",
    RemoteAccessSessionArn = "arn:aws:devicefarm:us-west-2:123456789101:session:EXAMPLE-GUID-123-456" // You can get the remote access session ARN by using the list-remote-access-sessions CLI command.
